PURPOSE:To constitute an exposing optical system as a single body by dividing the picture of an original into two parts on the center of a light source moving direction and copying respective sides only by the movement control of the light source. CONSTITUTION:When the 1st and 3rd markers A, C are positioned on both the sides of an original X, an image division key 24 is depressed to select a picture division mode and a print button 25 is depressed, an exposing device 8 starts exposing operation to execute copying operation for forming a space part of width (l). When the light source 18 reaches the position of the 2nd marker B, the movement of the light source 18 is temporarily stopped only by a set time T while continuing the rotation of a photosensitive body 2, so that the space part of the width (l) is formed on the center of the copy paper, and after the lapse of a set time, exposure is restarted. Consequently, the picture (namely, right and left pages) of the original is divided into two parts on the center of the light source moving direction and the respective sides are copied.
