MOLDING DEVICE FOR MOLDING A LINER ON THE INSIDE SURFACE OF THE TOP PANEL OF A CONTAINER CLOSURE SHELL

The mold is for forming a liner on the inside surface of the top panel of a bottle closure shell. It has a molding tool above an anvil which is relatively movable towards and away from the tool. The tool includes a center punch. an annular bushing is positioned externally of the center punch and is movable over a predetermined range w.r.t. the punch. Resilient springs are provided for urging the bushing upwardly w.r.t. the punch. A lowering drive is included for moving the bushing downwardly against the force of the resilient springs.
