<p>PURPOSE:To perform a highly reliable control of the incorrect warpage of a rolled material by accurately detecting the change in the position in vertical direction and the sheet width both being of the rolled material. CONSTITUTION:Image sensor cameras 12 mounted on the right-hand and left- hand sides above the outlet side of a rolling mill toward which a rolled material 11 passes detect the sheet width of the rolled material 11 through slitted bodies 14. At this time, the cameras 12 measure the lengths Xd and Xw of the marginal portions of the slitted bodies 14 which are not shielded by the rolled material 11. By taking both the marginal portions of the slitted bodies 14 as detection references, the sheet width at a measuring point, determining the distance L between right and left detection reference points of the slitted bodies 14, is obtained from the values Xd and Xw detected by the cameras 12. Sheet position signals thus obtained are connected to a processor 17, which performs calculation and decision and the sheet width, a sheet misalignment quantity and direction are obtained. The processor 17 is connected to a hydraulic jack or the like via a hydraulic pressing controller 19. By a servo circuit thus constituted, the sheet discrepancy between the rolled materials 11 and 11' can be controlled to be finally reduced to zero.</p> |
