When the shelf (1) is not used it is stored under the top of a desk or similar item of furniture, and has a beam along its inner edge. The beam (2) has a specific depth, and in its front part is supported by two connectors, one on each side and located in tracks (6) in consoles (5a,5b) fixed to the desk top. In the tracks (6) are inserted connectors (10a) fixed to the rear of the beam. The front connector (9) is shorter than the rear (10), and the tracks extend along the consoles so that the beam in its inner rest position supports the shelf plate horizontally. In front of the rest position, the tracks incline diagonally downwards over the console by an extend (12) which terminates in a light part (13). The part, when the shelf is drawn forward from the edge of the desk, lifts the shelf front edge, the beam inner, longer connector being simultaneously lifted by a connecting curve located to the rear of the two sides of the console. Thus, the rear part of the beam is lifted at the same time as the front. |
