PURPOSE:To obtain a flexible metallic wire resembling to a twisted wire in flexibility also having an external appearance as a mono-wire structure and an easy handleability by assembling a plurality of an element wire and coating the exterior longitudinally by a metallic tape to be welded at the butt part. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of a metallic wire 1 drawn out of a feeder 4 is assembled by an assembling roll 6, and a metallic tape 2 drawn out from a feeder 5 to the exterior is gradually formed by rolls 7a, 7a of the roll 7, and is formed to a complete form by rolls 8a, 8a of the roll 8 being coated longitudinally. Subsequently, the butt part of the coating metallic tape 2 is continuously welded by a welding equipment 9, and the flexible metallic wire obtained is drawn out by an uncoiler 10 so as to be rolled up by a roller 11.
