PURPOSE:To attain a magnification converting copying operation continuously by providing a copying machine with an original size detecting means, an original size storing means, a paper size calculating means for calculating paper corresponding to each original from the paper size stored in the original size storing means and an inputted and set-up copying magnification, and a required paper display means. CONSTITUTION:When originals are set up, a diaphragm member 42 is abutted upon the uppermost original out of the originals set up on an original tray 4, the lowermost original out of the set originals is fed in the direction of an original carrying course 36 and the size of the original is detected by the original size detecting sensor 45 and stored in the memory area Mi of a RAM53. When data such as the mode setting and copying scale factor of the magnification converting copying machine are set up and inputted, the paper size of the originals which are stored in memory areas M1-Mi is read out, the original size A is multiplied by an inputted copying magnification Z to find out required paper size B and to discriminate the paper size of required copy paper. When a paper cassette of unloaded paper size exists, the paper size display device 62 is turned on to order the operator to load the paper cassette of required size. |
