Abduction splint

The abduction splint comprises a support body of a flexible foam material having an upper support surface for the arm from which the support body tapers essentially in wedge shape toward the bottom. The support body which is held with straps against the side of the patient's body comes to bear against the patient's body in a sheet-like manner due to the type of its material and its concave support surface. The surface of the support body rises from the body side toward the outside and from back to front, or it is provided with a protuberance at the outer edge and at the front edge.
