<p>The jack (10) has a bearing strut (11) comprising a support arm (12) articulated on a horizontal axis and presenting at its free end a load head (21). The jack (10) is provided with a rotary threaded spindle (15) of which one of the ends passes into a a nut provided at the upper end of the bearing strut and of which the other end rotates in a bearing fixed to a joint connecting two support arms (16, 17), one of which is hinged to the support arm (12) and the other one to the bearing strut (11), which comprises at its lower end a base (26). In order to position the jack (10) independently of the type of vehicle to be lifted and in order to lift the vehicle without any risk of sliding, the jack has a lever (31) used for fixing its inclination at the beginning of the lifting operation. The lever (31) is fixed to the support arm (17) which is articulated to the bearing strut (11), going beyond the joint (19) and abutting on the ground. As an alternative, the lever (31) is on the one hand bearing on the base (26) which is hinged to the bearing strut (11) and on the other hand directly fixed to the support arms (17) above the articulation axis (19).</p> |
