<p>An impeller wheel made of sheet metal for use in centrifugal pumps. The connection between the impeller (3) and pump shaft (4) is provided by an L-shaped or U-shaped boss plate (7). In this design the sides of the L- or U-shape, which are of an annular form, extend in the direction of the rotary axis and ensure the connection with the pump shaft (4); the plate (11) next to it, which extends in a radial direction, possesses a contour which matches the outer face of the impeller cover plate (6) on the pressure side and is welded to it in a known manner. When a U-shaped boss-plate is used, the outer ring (15) which is installed at a distance from the pump shaft and runs in the direction of the latter acts as the ring of a split ring seal.</p> |
