<p>A system for transferring three-dimensional TV images comprising means (14) for taking out image signals for either the left image or the right image of three-dimensional TV, means (22) for finding a differential signal between the left image signal and the right image signal for the left and right images, means (27, 28, 29, 30) for effecting the sub-Nyquist sampling of the differential signal according to a frame period related to a limit frequency of three-dimensional vision in the direction of depth of perception, means (36, 42) for synthesizing and sending one image signal and the sampled differential signal, means (50) for separating the one image signal and the differential signal from the synthesized signal that has been transmitted, means (56, 58, 60) for determining the movement between the frames concerning the one image signal that has been separated, means (62, 64) for performing the interpolation between the frames for the separated differential signal depending upon the result of movement determination, and means (66) for synthesizing the one image signal that is separated and the differential signal that is interpolated between the frames, thereby to obtain the other image signal of the left and right image signals. The frequency band occupied by the motion picture being compressed, the high-frequency components of differential signals can be transferred over an ordinary TV signal band of one channel, which are difficult to transfer when the differential signals are simply compressed.</p> |
