PURPOSE:To make the contrast in printing a longitudinal line inconspicuous by forming the arranging pitch of plural print elements slightly large than the pitch obtained by dividing the amount of line feeds by the number of elements to overlap the lower end of the print line before line feed and the upper end of print line after line feed. CONSTITUTION:The inter-element pitch p' is formed slightly larger than a conventional pitch (p)= line feed/element number as shown in the arrangement of thermal print elements 12 and heat generation distribution diagram so as to make the part B at the end of the total length L' of each element region at line feed to be overlapped. In adjusting properly the pitch p', the overlapped part B is changed and it is possible to make the contrast of longitudinal lines nearly uniform. |
