PURPOSE:To detect exactly a distortion angle of a rotational distortion of an input graphic by entering at least two pieces of special symbols which become reference coordinates for capturing the rotational distortion, in the input drawing. CONSTITUTION:Not only an input graphic 2 but also at least two pieces of special symbols 3 which become reference coordinates for capturing a roational distortion are entered in advance in an input drawing 1. A graphic input means of a drawing reader sticks the drawing 1 to a drum 31, rotates the drum 31 and moves a read header 32 at a high speed along the axial core of the drum. In case when a graphic 1' is subjected to a rotational distortion against a reference line 41 of a coordinate of the drawing reader, a distortion angle theta is detected, and based on the angle theta, the rotational distortion of the input graphic is brought to a corection processing.
