PURPOSE:To cool the inside of a lamp body forcedly and to prevent a light source from the generation of schlieren by constituting a light transmissive heat shielding member positioned on the light source bulb side of a heat absorbing glass, making outside air flow between plural heat shielding members and exhausting the outside air supplied between said members to the outside of the lamp body. CONSTITUTION:A heat shielding member supporting frame 20 for supporting a heat resisting glass 18 and a heat absorbing glass 19 with a proper interval in the vertical direction is arranged on an irradiating light projecting opening part 14 of a casing 15. A cooling air passage 21 is connected to a light source bulb storing room 22 through many connection holes 23. The room 22 and the passage 21 are connected to the outside through a cooling air exhausting port 24 formed on the casing 15 and a cooling air inlet port 25 formed on the frame 20 respectively. The inlet port 25 is connected to the exhaust port of a blower and outside cooling air is forcedly fed into the lamp body 13b to cool the glasses 18, 19 forcedly by the cooling air passed through the inside of the lamp body 13b and to cool the room 22 and the light source bulb 17 forcedly.
