PURPOSE:To enable improvement of power transmission performance and durability through absorption of axial vibration and friction, according to the method wherein a coupling is coupled through the one end of a pin, and the other end is rotatably connected to the coupling. CONSTITUTION:Since a pin 5, inserted in couplings 3 and 4 secured to shafts 1 and 2, is freely rotated and slid, a change in an angle due to axial vibration of shafts 1 and 2 and displacement of an axis is absorbed. Further, since the one end of the pin 5 and the one coupling 3 are interconnected in a way to be capable of rolling in a state to axially nip a groove 8 therebetween, a change in angle extended at right angles with and in the direction of the axes of the shafts 1 and 2 is absorbed. Thus, a shaft joint is excellent in resistance to friction and vibration, and performs efficient absorption motion.
