STEEL PIPE PROTECTOR SCREWING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To achieve reliable tightening without damaging the thread ridge by supporting the inner face of a steel pipe by means of an openable/closable and advancable/retractable induction link while holding a protector by means of an openable/closable and advancable/retractable supporting link located concentrically at the outside and screwing into the steel pipe. CONSTITUTION:The tip of a catching lever 38 is applied onto the inner diameter of a holding hole of a protector 4 then an air clutch 39 is turned on the bring a closable cylinder 35 to the advance position and to open a supporting link 25 thus to hold the protector 4. Then the supporting cylinder 31 of a supporting tube 12 is brought to the advance position to pass the protector 4 on the outercircumferential face of an induction link 25 and fit to a steel pipe 1. Thereafter, an open/close cylinder 23 is brought to the back position thus to close the induction link 22 while the open/close cylinder 35 is brought to the back position thus to close the supporting link 25 and the supporting cylinder 31 is brought to the normal push position thus to insert the protector 4 while matching the supporting tube 12 with the lead of the steel pipe (2) thread without damaging the thread.
