PURPOSE:To produce a heat resistant alloy having the remarkably improved resistance to high-temp. oxidation by adding a molding composed of an oxide of rare earth element having a specific grain size and Fe, etc., to a Cr-contg. heat resistant alloy melt subjected to a deoxidation treatment. CONSTITUTION:The oxide of rare earth element such as Y or La consisting of pulverous particles having <=2mu particle diameter and the metallic powder of Fe, Ni, Cr, etc. or the alloy powder thereof are mixed and the mixture is subjected to pressing, etc. to form a molding. The ratio of the oxide of rare earth element in the molding is made about 1-20wt%. Such molding or the sintered molding is added into the Fe- or Ni-base heat resistant alloy melt which contains about 10-30% Cr and is preliminarily subjected to the deoxidation treatment in a ladle so as to contain about >=1% oxide of rare earth element. The heat resistant alloy having the excellent resistance to the high-temp. oxidation is thus economically obtd. |
