PURPOSE:To secure a necessary output air-fuel ratio on restoration of fuel cut by varying the fuel injection quantity on restoration of fuel cut according to the ON/OFF of an air conditioner, in the fuel cut in engine deceleration. CONSTITUTION:If, when a car is in traveling, an ECU 19 judges the engine deceleration from the output of a throttle sensor 11, the atmosphere is introduced into a slow lock valve 16 through a negative-pressure switching valve 18, and the valve 16 is closed, and the supply of fuel into the slow series passages 5 and 15 from the primary decompression chamber 2 is cut. Further, when the actual revolution speed detected by an engine revolution speed sensor 23 reduces below the fuel cut restoration revolution speed, fuel cut is suspended, and fuel supply is restored. In the above-described constitution, it is judged if an air conditioner 22 is turned-ON or -OFF on the restoration of fuel cut, and if the turning-ON is judged, the fuel injection time of an auxiliary fuel injector 14 on restoration of fuel cut is prolonged, and the fuel injection quantity is increased.
