PURPOSE:To obtain an efficient and corrosion resistant ink jet head by forming passive layers respectively on the surface of a nozzle, a fluid element and a fluid flow smoothing element. CONSTITUTION:A nozzle 12, a fluid resistant element 14 and a fluid flow smoothing element 18 are provided with passive layers 13 respectively on the surfaces of their components made of nickel. In order to form the above passive layers 13, the nickel components are dipped and left in a concentrated nitric acid or a concentrated sulfuric acid. Another method recommended is to provide the nickel components with anodic oxidation to be able to obtain a film of oxidation. To provide the surfaces with passivation as stated above results in production of a strong film which is corrosion resistant to ink over the surfaces of the nozzle 12, the fluid resistant element 14 and the fluid flow smoothing element 18 with little change in their shapes and dimensions. |
