PURPOSE:To provide a wire for a dot printer made of a sintered hard alloy having excellent bending strength and improved wear resistance by forming said wire of a prescribed weight ratio of WC and binder consisting of a prescribed weight ratio of Fe and Ni. CONSTITUTION:This wire for the dot printer is formed of the sintered hard alloy constituted substantially of 60-90wt% WC and 5-40wt% binder consisting of Fe and Ni having 1.0-4.0 weight ratio (Fe/Ni). The wire for the dot printer made of the sintered hard alloy of this invention has the substantial bending strength and excellent wear resistance and having many effects including the contribution to the extended life of the dot printer, etc. The sintered hard alloy exhibits >=400kg/mm<2> deflection strength. The examples of the properties of the wire (* mark) of this invention are tabulated.
