PURPOSE:To obtain an electrodepositing paint compsn. which gives a coating film having high heat resistance and excellent mechanical and electrical characteristics, by neutralizing an amic acid prepolymer, adding an inorg. filler and dispersing them in water. CONSTITUTION:A carboxylic acid anhydride contg. an unsaturated double bond is reacted with a silicone-diamine having a structure containing a siloxane linkage as its skeleton and having amino groups attached to both terminals thereof. The resulting amic acid prepolymer is neutralized with a neutralizing agent. An inorg. filler is added thereto and the mixture is dispersed in water to obtain the desired electrodepositing paint compsn. The siliconediamine is a compd. wherein a siloxane linkage forms its skeleton and amino groups are attached to both terminals thereof. Examples thereof are dimethyl-polysiloxane and methylphenylpolysiloxanediamine. The concn. of the amic acid prepolymer in a water-dispersed varnish is pref. 5-25wt% and a preferable pH of 5-10.
