PURPOSE:To obtain a machining power source which is stable with respect to variation in floating capacitance or floating inductance by connecting a coupling capacitor and a coupling reactor in series between a switching element and a part across poles. CONSTITUTION:A switching element 2 carries out switching by means of a driving circuit 3 and supplies a high-frequency AC voltage to a part across poles 6 via a series circuit of a coupling capacitor 9 and a coupling coil 10. By properly selecting the value of the coupling capacitor 9, the value of an output voltage can be extremely stabilized with respect to variation in floating capacitance 8. Also, by properly selecting the value of inductance of the coupling coil 10, an output voltage characteristics can be extremely stabilized with respect to variation in floating inductance 7. Thereby, a good-quality and uniform machining surface can be obtained and, since a tuning system for making a switching frequency variable as in the past can be eliminated, an electric power source can be formed at a low cost.
