PURPOSE:To obtain a novel carbonated beverage having good palatability by blending a carbonated beverage with thin pieces of heat-resistant jelly consisting of a colloid. CONSTITUTION:Agar, pectin, glucomannan, alginate or another colloid is used as a raw material. A carbonated beverage is blended with a proper amount, 5-50wt% thin pieces of heat-resistant jelly which will not cause collapse of shape, melting, dissolution and other changes even under heat sterilization condition of the aimed carbonated beverage, optionally colored, seasoned or provided with a fragrance, it is packed into a proper container, sealed hermetically and sterilized under heating.
