PURPOSE:To obtain a photoconductive body which has excellent flexibility and formability and has no toxicity by using a polyvinylidene fluoride molding of which the surface is subjected to dehydrogenfluoridation. CONSTITUTION:The polyvinylidene fluoride molding of which at least the surface is subjected to dehydrogenfluoridation is used as the photoconductive body. A copolymer of vinylidene fluoride and <=70mol% vinyl fluoride and 3-ethylene fluoride is usable in addition to the homopolymer of the vinylidene fluoride as the polyvinylidene fluoride. The dehydrogenfluoridation of the polyvinylidene fluoride molding is easily executed by using an alkaline soln. and if necessary a phase-transfer catalyst component. The polyvinylidene fluoride having intrinsically no photoconductivity is thus subjected to the dehydrogenfluoridation, by which the photoconductivity is provided thereto. Such material is used for an electrophotographic sensitive material, various sensors, image pickup tube materials, etc. |
