PURPOSE:To reduce the size of a rotary system and the mass of inertia to attain highly accurate and rapid rotation, and to simplify the structure of the title mechanism to attain the reduction of size and weight by executing retrieval on the basis of the rotation of only a recording medium. CONSTITUTION:A glass frame 16 is pivotally supported by a chassis frame 11 out of a pair of chassis frames 11, 12 which are opposed to each other in parallel and a sheet-like recording medium 13 on which plural picture informa tion are recorded under aligned status is superposed to a press-contact glass 14 fitted to the frame 16. An inner ring 19 is supported by the frame 12 coaxially with the frame 16 and a glass frame 17 is slidably engaged with the inner ring 19 in the opposite direction to the frames 11, 12 so that the record ing medium 13 is held and pressed together with the glass 14 by a press-contact glass 15 fitted to the frame 17. A press-contact control means formed on the frame 12 slides the frame 17 around the inner ring 19 and a rotating means 30 rotates one of the frame 16 and the inner ring 19 around the frame 11.
