PURPOSE:To make a special storing device for a towed body unnecessary by holding the towed body in a storage condition and in a tow condition with a solenoid-braked winding machine. CONSTITUTION:A storing tube has a horn-like flare 5 at its rear end, and a through hole 7 for a towline 6 is provided on its spherical head center. A guide sheave 8 guiding the towline 6 is provided protrusively below the through hole 7 at the head of the storing tube 1. A towed body 2 is stored slidably in the axial direction at a fixed distance from the storing tube with a guide roller 10 and a stopper 9. The towline 6 is guided by the guide sheave 8 and is wound by a solenoid-braked winding machine 13 installed in the vertical rudder of a submarine.
