PURPOSE:To detect the synchronizing signal without fail by making an N (N>=16) pattern including a 16 bit pattern, which does not appear in the modulating data column, into the synchronizing signal, for the synchronizing unit of the modulating code column to use an 8-14 modulating system. CONSTITUTION:Input data 1 composed of 8 bits are inputted into a framing part 2, and the framed data are inputted to a modulating part 3. At the modulating part 3 modulation is executed in accordance with the algorithm of 8-14 modulation. Next, a dummy synchronizing signal to execute the 8-14 modulation at a synchronizing signal applying part 4 and a N (N>=16) pattern including the 16-bit pattern, which does not appear in the modulating data column are replaced. At an NRZI modulating part 6, an NRZI modulation is executed and outputted to a recording part 6. A modulating code column reproduced by a reproducing part 7 is NRZI-demodulated by an NRZI demodulating part 8, and the synchronizing signal of respective frames is detected by a synchronizing signal detecting part 9. The signal is divided for respective modulation codes and sent to a demodulating part 11 based upon the detecting signal. Thus, the secure synchronizing detection can be executed. |
