PURPOSE:To enhance the performance of a pneumatic radial tire for passenger's vehicle, by forming a carcass layer with layers continuously connected to bead cores and layers having an intermediate cut-out structure in the center area of the tread of the tire, and by setting the intervals of carcass cords in the maximum width area of the tire to a predetermined value. CONSTITUTION:Two carcass layers 13, 14 in which organic fiber cords such as, for example, polyester cords are laid at substantially 90 deg. with respect to the circumferential direction of a tire are laid, being folded back at both side bead cores 15 from the inside to the outside of the latter, and are terminated, having different heights h1, h2 in the radial direction in the vicinity of the bead cores 13, 14. Further, of the carcass layers 13, 14, one layer has its folded back ends superposed with belt layers 1, 12. Further, the intervals of cords in the carcass layers 13, 14 within the maximum width area of the tire are set to be larger than a value about 2 times as large as and less than a value 3.5 times as large as the diameter of cords. With this arrangement it is possible to enhance the drive comfortability of the vehicle, and rotation-resistant characteristic and separation-resistant characteristic of carcass fold back section of the tire.
