An excrement vessel for storing excrements and a toilet which permits the excrement vessel to be replaced. Conventional toilets include those of the water flush type and those having an excrement vessel that is secured just under thereof. The former is sanitary, but is not utilizable in the regions where the sewerage system is not provided. The latter has problems in that offensive odor is diffused from the excrement vessel and cumbersome operation is required for aftertreatment of the excrements. According to this invention, an excrement vessel (20) is replaceably provided under the toilet stool (12). Preferably, furthermore, side space between the excrement vessel (20) and the toilet stool (12) is covered by a cylinder (34), and a middle portion thereof is allowed to be opened or closed by a shutter (38). More preferably, furthermore, provision is made of a ball (48) that floats on the sewage to prevent the sewage from splashing when the excrement falls thereon, and the intake port (60a) of the excrement vessel (20) is closed by a cap (64). Therefore, offensive odor is prevented from flowing out of the excrement vessel, and aftertreatment of the sewage can be carried out easily. |
