PURPOSE:To obtain an electric charge applying material which applies adequate negative charge to a toner by incorporating a specific compd. at least into the surface thereof. CONSTITUTION:This material has the compd. expressed by the formula at least on the surface. (In the formula, R1, R2, R3, R4 denote hydrogen, alkyl group, aralkyl group, aryl group or the substituent thereof, A<-> denotes BF4<-> or PB6<->.) Such compd. is exemplified by the compds. expressed by formulas (1), (2). The compd. is preferably sued in the form of particles having generally 10-0.01mu, more particularly 2-0.1mu average grain size although the grain size varies with the form of the charge applying particle for which the compd. is to be applied. General resins are usable as the binder resin or molding resin to be used with the compd. and are preferably used at such a ratio by weight at which the compd. is incorporated at 0.5-200pts., more particularly 2-100pts. in 100pts. resin. |
