摘要 PURPOSE:To suppress the occurrence of bubbles in the midst of X-ray irradiation and to attain the fluorescent X-ray analysis of a liquid specimen by carrying out the X-ray irradiation under conditions where the liquid specimen is subjected to convection. CONSTITUTION:The liquid specimen 14 is previously heated within a desired temperature range, and put into a liquid specimen container. The surface to be analyzed of the specimen 14 is merely covered by a thin Mylar film or beryllium thin plate 6. Accordingly even if the partial irradiation with the X-ray 9 causes heating, the surface to be analyzed can be cooled by an external temperature. As a result the temperature difference between upper and lower parts permits the upper cool specimen to flow downward and the lower specimen to rise, thereby causing the convection. Due to the convection arising in the specimen 14, the partial heating is relaxed to prevent the occurrence of bubbles, whereby the fluorescence analysis can be possible without a drop in X-ray intensity.
