Disclosed is negatively charged toner composition comprised of resin particles, pigment particles, and as a charge enhancing additive an iron complex compound of the following formula: <IMAGE> wherein A is independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, alkyl substituents, halogen, nitro, and alkoxy; n is the number 1, 2 or 3; X is a cation; and B is of the formula <IMAGE> wherein R is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, alkyl, halogen, nitro, and alkoxy; and n is as defined herein.
