A mail bag for blood samples Fig. 2 consists of an insulating foam bag (1) in which the glass ampoules (4) containing the blood samples are held in an insert (3) comprising a plurality of foam tubes 5 joined side by side and accommodated centrally across the longitudinal axis of the insulating foam bag. The wedge- shaped hollow interior regions between the insert and the upper and lower edges of the insulating foam bag may be filled with matching wedge-shaped dry ice bags (10). A bipartite safety side closure consisting of two laterally reversed "U" profile halves 13, 14 Fig. 4 with barb-like projections is provided for closing the insulating foam bag. <IMAGE> |
