PURPOSE:To simplify the installation work and make possible a built-in inside wall or assembling of the apparatus, by providing an intake chamber and an exhaust chamber respectively on the right and left sides of the apparatus and placing a built-in fire-proof damper in each of said chambers. CONSTITUTION:Indoor air drawn by an exhaust fan 3 through a suction port 4 is passed through a heat-exchanger element 2, a fire-proof damper 10 in an exhaust chamber 13 and discharged from an outlet port 5 to the outside, while outdoor air drawn by an intake fan 6 through an inlet port 7 is passed through a fire-proof damper 11 in an intake chamber 12, the heat-exchanger element 2 and supplied into the room through a blow-off port 8. Accordingly, when the outdoor air and indoor air passes through the full heat-exchanging element 2, heat transfer occurs between both of said airs; as a result, air is supplied from the outlet ports 15 into the room under such condition that the temperature and humidity thereof is close to those of the air to be exhausted. As the intake and exhaust chamber each are provided with a fire-proof damper in such a manner as stated above, construction work to install a fire-proof damper in the wall of a building is unnecessitated.
