摘要 PURPOSE:To balance the various performances such as a response rate, a power consumption, a working life and a contrast ratio of the ECD element by applying a composite ion exchange film obtd. by mixing different sorts of ion exchange polymers followed by laminating it, to the element. CONSTITUTION:The transparent conductive film, the EC film, the ion exchange film and the counter electrode are laminated on the substrate in order, to form the ECD element. The composite ion exchange film obtd. by mixing the plural numbers of the ion exchange polymers having the different sorts of any of the ion exchange group, the exchange capacity and the main chain contd. in the polymer followed by laminating it, is used. The composite ion exchange film having an optional exchange capacity is obtd. by changing the mixed ratio of the ion exchange polymers. The larger the exchange capacity is, the more the mobility of the ion increases, the larger the hydrophilic property of the ion exchange film is, the larger the water content of said film increases. As the result, the response rate of the titled element increases, the power consumption depresses. Therefore, the each performances of the response rate, the consumed power, the working life and the contrast ratio may be balanced by selecting the sorts of the ion exchange films and the mixing ratio of the ion exchange polymers.
