PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for an interface circuit by designing the system that a peripheral equipment keeps an acknowledgement level to the set state until the setting state of the acknowledge line of the peripheral equipment is detected by a computer. CONSTITUTION:In sending a data from the computer 1 to the peripheral equipment 2, the computer 1 sets an output buffer full flag 8 to logical '0' to request the reception of a data 13 to the equipment 2. The equipment 2 sets the acknowledgement line 9 to '0' to show the reception of the data 13 and the computer 1 detects the '0' level of the acknowledgement line 9 to reset the flag 8 to '1'. Then the equipment 2 detects the level 1 of the flag 8 to set the acknowledgement line 9 to '1'. Since the computer 1 acknowledges that the equipment 2 receives the data and the equipment 2 acknowledges further the acknowledgement of the computer 1, the transmission/reception of the data from the computer 1 to/from the equipment 2 is executed surely.
