Suction dredger excavator wheel - has profiled components on scoop walls at rear end

The suction dredger excavator wheel has evenly-spaced U-section scoops and turns on a horizontal axis. The inlet for each scoop is larger than the rear outlet, but is reduced to less than the latter by the rear end of the preceding scoop. A stationary suction head inside the wheel extracts the scoop contents. Profiled components (15) extending in the radial direction are mounted on the scoop sidewalls (2') near the outlet and of right-angled triangle section. The minimum distance between each point on the apex and the opposite edge of the inlet of the next scoop is less than that between the latter edge and the sidewall of the preceding scoop below the component.
