PURPOSE:To make it possible to easily perform not only the mounting and replacement of recording paper but also the cleaning of a recording head, by separating the press means for pressing the recording head from the recording head and making the arm having the recording head revolvable. CONSTITUTION:A pair of arms 3 are provided to the side plate 1 of a recording paper receiving part for receiving recording paper 2 so as to be revolvable around a support shaft 30 and a recording head 4 such as a thermal head is provided between said arms 30 through a plate shaped holding plate 40 so as to be positioned below said holding plate 40. When the recording paper 2 is mounted and replaced, a front surface plate 6 is fallen to the forward direction and the engagement of the roller 72 of a press means 7 with an engaging member 70 is released to separate the recording head 4 from the holding plate 4 and the arm 3 having the recording head 4 is revolved to be positioned at the upper part. Because the upper end of the recording paper receiving part is sufficiently opened, the mounting of the recording paper is easy and the cleaning and maintenance of the recording head is also made easy.
