PURPOSE:To obtain unidirectional rotation permanent magnet rotor type synchronous motor having good starting characteristic by contacting a projection formed on a rotational shaft with an arm when the rotor rotates reversely at approximately 90 deg.. CONSTITUTION:When a rotor 3 rotates normally, a clutch spring 8 slides to a rotational shaft 4 to energize to separate by the arm 9 the arm 11 from the shaft 4 by the slide resistor. Accordingly, the arm 11 is held at the position not contacted with a projection 7, and the rotor 3 continues rotating. When the rotor 3 reversely rotates, the spring 8 is wound on the shaft 4 to rotate together and to energize to approach by the arm 9 the arm 11 to the shaft 4. As a result, the end 11a of the arm 11 is contacted with the projection 7 of the shaft 4 to stop the rotor 3.
