PURPOSE:To smoothly perform the setting of the relative position of an optical head and an ultrsonic head with a specimen stand, by providing both heads to the support arm provided to the specimen stand so as not only to freely approach said stand but also to be freely separated therefrom. CONSTITUTION:Both ends of an arm 8 formed into arch shape are fixed to the rear part of the base plate fixedly provided on a stand and guide rails 10 are provided to both sides of the ball screw 9 provided to the center of said arm 8 while a screw receiving member 11 is threaded with the screw 9. The support arm 12 fixed to this member 11 is engaged with the guide rail 10 and moved up and down along the rail. The distance of the ultrasonic head 15 from the specimen arranged on the stage 7 of a specimen stand 5 is regulated by moving a slide rail 13 up and down by rotating the ball screw 9.
