<p>In a stationary dam (barrage, weir) constructed in a current (stream) of surface waters, there is at least one well 1 inside which it is possible to communicate both with the upstream side and with the downstream side, in the vicinity of the bottom, by means of passage openings which can be closed by means of blocking members 2, 3. In the well 1 a floating body 4 moves which is sufficiently heavy so that its up and down movement actuates a working cylinder 8 which works as a dual-effect piston pump to the chamber of the liquid of a hydropneumatic pressure accumulator 13. The pressure liquid 10 thereby placed at high pressure is conveyed to a hydrodynamic machine, preferably a turbine 20, and is distended. The hydrodynamic machine can preferably actuate an electrical generator. Provision has been made suitably for a closed circuit for the pressurized liquid 10 insofar as the latter is conveyed from the turbine directly to the aspiration side of the working cylinder 8 which acts as piston pump.</p> |
