<p>The device for polishing the teeth stores the polishing powder in a cylindrical container (13) with a central tube (16) projecting from the floor. The container is placed on a stand (2) with two coaxial tubes (3,4) projecting upwards into the central tube (16). Compressed air is supplied through a pipe (5) and flows into the outer tube (3). As the air emerges from the top of the outer tube (3) it is deflected by a baffle radially outwards and downwards, so that it stirs up the powder (14). Powder laden air then flows downwards through the inner tube (4) and out through the pipe (7) to a device which mixes with the powder with water.</p> |
