<p>The butting pipe ends are located inside a thermoplastic sleeve (4), in which is embedded a heating coil (6). The sleeve has a space to hold a plunger, whose outer shaft (18) forms an external indicator. The movable shaft indicates the sealing pressure and temp. - The seal is effected by a mass of melted plastics (21) pushing onto the plunger. The shaft can be coloured for simple identification and can be moved into and out of the welding region.</p> |
