摘要 <p>A multiple layer packaging film (110) is based on a three-layer coextrusion featuring polyethylene terephthalate, the three layers of the coextrusion being simultaneously oriented and heat set. The three layer film may be used as it is, or may be combined with other layers e.g. a metallized barrier layer and a protective barrier layer. The latter may be reverse printed before laminating to the metallized surface of the polyethylene terephthalate. In the film (110) the coextruded layers are a heat seal layer (112), an adhesive layer (114), and the polyethylene terephthalate layer (116). After application of the metallizing layer (118), the polyethylene terephthalate layer (116) is laminated to abuse-resistant layer (124) by way of an adhesive layer (120). Such a film (110) is useful in the production of bags or pouches for foodstuff packaging, for instance.</p>
