PURPOSE:To improve the form quality of a gap part as well as the head output and the resolution by pouring the glass of a low melting point into a groove formed at the upper part of the gap part of each core and forming the core recess and projection parts at several areas to fill these recess parts with the glass. CONSTITUTION:The grooves 4 are formed to both the 1st and 2nd cores 1 and 2, and the glass 3 of a low melting point is poured into these grooves 4. The projection parts 5 are provided at the back side of the core 2 and at the middle between a groove 6 prescribing the track width and a groove 7 formed adjacent to the groove 6 also to prescribe the track width. The glass 9 of a low melting point having the same component as the glass 3 is supplied to a recess part 8. Then both glasses 3 and 9 are melted at a time for junction of both cores 1 and 2. At the same time, the part 8 is also filled with the glass. Thus a record/reproduction head 10 is obtained.
