AUTOMATIC BLOOD CELL CLASSIFYING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To make possible the exact identification of the kinds of the specimens to be classified by constituting a titled device in such a manner that the specimen contg. the intended blood cells is identified from the other specimens by a concn. signal prior to the extraction of the characteristic parameter of the intended blood cells. CONSTITUTION:An automatic focus circuit 2 and a color television 3 are connected to a microscope 1 and the signal emitted from the camera 3 is inputted to an image processor 4. A stage driving circuit 6 is connected to the microscope 1 and is connected to a computer (CP) 5. The blood specimen is put on the stage of the microscope 1. The microscopic image of the blood cells scattering on the specimen is focused by the circuit 2 and is inputted to the camera 3. The camera 3 scans electrically the microscopic image and outputs the concn. signal to the processor 4. The average concn. of the blood cells is calculated in the processor 4 which outputs the result thereof to the CP5. The CP5 discriminates automatically the kind of the blood specimen from the average concn. and makes the prescribed classification of the intended blood cells in accordance with the result thereof.
