PURPOSE:To obtain a piezoelectric converter operable stably at high temperatures, by providing inside thereof a piezoelectric element and a pair of external electrodes and filling the internal space therebetween with silicon oil. CONSTITUTION:An external resilient electrode 7 made of a conductive rubber strip is resiliently contacted with the side face 3b of an internal electrode 3 of a piezoelectric element 1. The layered body of the piezoelectric element 1 is fitted into an insulating cylinder 8 made of an electrically insulating member pressure contacted with external electrodes 6 and 7. The resilient pressure contact between the internal face of the insulating cylinder 8 and the external electrodes 6 and 7 ensures the resilient pressure contact between the external electrodes 6 and 7 and the side faces 2b and 3b of the internal electrodes. The upper body 9 is a cylindrical container one end of which is closed with a top part 9a. A peripheral part 9b is provided on the periphery of the aperture of the container. An internal space between the upper body 9 and the lower body 10 is filled with silicone oil, whereby all the peripheral faces of the layered piezoelectric element 1 are completely covered with the silicone oil. According to this construction, the device can operate stably even at high temperatures, and hence the range of working temperatures can be enlarged. |
