PURPOSE:To make it unnecessary to execute an operation for resetting to an original point, and to detect an absolute position of a machine without using a memory, by placing plural pieces of resolvers on the same axial core, and making a rotation ratio of its revolving shafts different from each other. CONSTITUTION:When a revolving shaft 20 rotates at an angular velocity omegab, a rotor 2 rotates at an angular velocity omegab, and phase information is obtained from a resolver 11 by a relation of the rotor 2 and a stator 3. On the other hand, when the shaft 20 rotates, a main gear 4 also rotates, this rotational force is transferred and sub-gears 6a-6C also revolve at an angular velocity omegaa around the main gear 4. For instance, when the main gear 4 rotates clockwise, the sub-gears 6A-6C rotate counterclockwise, and revolve clockwise along a fixed internal gear 5. This revolving motion is transmitted to a rotor 9 through a driven shaft plate 7 and a driven shaft 8, and the rotor 9 rotates at an angular velocity omegaa. By a relation of this rotor 9 and a stator 10, phase information is obtained from a resolver 12, too. In this way, by the phase information obtained from the resolvers 11, 12, an absolute position of a machine can be detected.
