PURPOSE:To enable a tool to be prevented from falling off from a main spindle under a condition that the tool is released from its pressing to a point end of the main spindle, by providing an adaptation member, adapted to a rear end surface of the tool, movably in the axial line direction of a draw rod. CONSTITUTION:A main spindle head 17 rotatably supports a main spindle 30, and this main spindle 30 forms both an axial hole 31 in the direction of an axial line of the main spindle 30 and a tapered fitting hole 32 in a point end of the main spindle 30. A draw rod 33 is inserted into the axial hole 31 longitudinally movably in the direction of an axial line of the main spindle head 17, and the draw rod 33 fixes to its one end a pull stud 34. The pull stud 34 forms an engaging part 34a spread in the radial direction. A device, providing a clamping spring 35 to be arranged between the axial hole 31 and the draw rod 33, stops one end of said spring 35 to a stepped part 31a formed in the axial hole 31 while the other to a rear part of the draw rod 33.
