PURPOSE:To reliably reverse a recording medium discharged from a recording apparatus and to arrange the recording medium in good order and store same by providing a catch tray, a part of which is projected. CONSTITUTION:A sheet 12 discharged from a medium storing device 2 is received by a rotating impeller 9, and the sheet 12 is reversed by he impeller 9. When the sheet is grounded on a catch tray 15, the sheet 12 curved as shown by a solid line is further bent as shown by a dotted line by a projection 16 disposed on the catch tray 15. The trailing end of the sheet is separated from the impeller 9 by the inertia force of the trailing end of the sheet produced by such bending to be stored and stacked on the catch tray 15. Even if the sheet 12 is curled, or the sheet 12 is hard to separate from the impeller 9, the inertia or the trailing end of the sheet is produced by bending of the projection when the sheet 12 is grounded on the catch tray 15 to reliably reverse the sheet, and store and stack same on the catch tray 15.
