PURPOSE:To enhance sharpness and storage stability of an image by incorporating a specified coupler in at least one of silver halide emulsion layers formed on a support. CONSTITUTION:At least one of the silver halide emulsion layers formed on the support contains a 2-equivalent 5-pyrazone polymer magenta coupler and at least one of the other layers contains a phenol type cyan coupler substd. by an acylamino group at the 5-position and a ureido group at the 2-position, and said magenta coupler is derived from a monomer coupler represented by formula [I] and has repeating units each represented by formula [II], thus permitting such a combination of the cyan coupler and the magenta coupler to be least in fading and excellent in fading balance of a cyan dye image and a magenta dye image, and to achieve the enhanced image stability that cannot be otherwise obtained. |
